I’m very passionate about what I do, as I was bullied for many years. I never ‘fitted in’ and I was teased about the way I looked, so for a long time I withdrew and gave myself to art.

I could lose myself for many hours with just a piece of paper and a pencil…sometimes, I still do! I always said that I never ‘became a girl’ until I was in my 20s. I was always a tom boy and loved getting my hands dirty playing with arts and craft. It was at this time that I developed my creative need.

Stepping into the world of beauty was a whole new beginning for me. It’s a wonderful thing to make someone feel beautiful… even just because of ‘those little things’…like getting your makeup done…or, even a facial. It wasn’t until 1999 (when I worked with a woman in a well-known day spa) that I was introduced to cosmetic tattoo. I had my lips and eyeliner done with this form of semi-permanent make-up. It gave me a new found confidence in the way I look. I immediately fell in love with every aspect of the craft.
